Vulcan
As the Senior Product Designer for Cylitix, I spearhead the strategic design and execution of user-centric experiences. I translate complex needs into intuitive interfaces, ensuring the platform effectively streamlines technology scouting process and fosters Government and Commercial collaboration.
Centering on the User
When I joined Cylitix, my primary focus was modernizing the Vulcan user experience. At the time, the process of creating anything on Vulcan was esoteric and difficult to navigate, often only doable for power. While an initial overhaul had been started, I recognized an opportunity to push the design much further.
Drawing on my background in educational design, I restructured the complex workflows into a more intuitive, guided experience. This redesign has made the platform more accessible to a broader user base.
Revamping Pages
In Government acquisitions, clarity isn't just a design preference—it's a mission requirement. I led the visual and functional redesign for some of Vulcan’s core pages, transforming dense, data-heavy views into high-signal interfaces.
Establishing Volcano
Redesigning Vulcan’s complex workflows provided the perfect stress test for a new visual language. By developing a robust design system in tandem with these UX updates, I was able to eliminate interface inconsistencies and create a repeatable framework that accelerated both design and development cycles.
